In what order are the files pulled by File event?

When I use a File Event to pull from a Windows Server Folder, in what order are the files pulled by the event? I would assume it would pull the oldest first, but that does not seem to be what is happening. I have the event set to On Exists and have several sources placing files into a single folder I want the oldest processed first by the Process Flow.

  The file event processes the file according to file last modified time. The oldest modified files will be processed first when trigger in sequence is used.
