Setting up a test environment

Situation:

Before upgrading to the latest version of Adeptia, we'd like to test the upgrade with our current production data. Can we create a new test environment with our current production data? We'll then move our users to the upgraded environment.

Solution:

Here are the steps you'll take to setup a new test environment with your existing Adeptia data.

1) Download and install the same version of Adeptia you have running in your current environment on your new test environment.
2) Using the offline migration option of the migration utility, export all your objects from your current environment and migrate them to your new test environment. You can find more information here: https://adeptia.com/adeptia-migration-utility-guide (pg. 43)
3) Upgrade the test environment from the old version of Adeptia to the new one.
