Situation:
A customer wants to use the interchange control number defined on the EDIUNBOutboundEnvelope but the system is still using the Global Interchange Control Number.
Interchange Control number should be numeric value, I receive an error during set up of the document properties on the inbound EDI relationship.
According to the EDFACT and/or EANCOM documentation the interchange control number data element 0020 is alphanumeric 1..14.
Solution:
The Interchange control number is picked from the property abpm.solution.edi.controlNumberGenStrategy and it is by default set to timestamp and picks up any default value in Interchange control number.
You need to change the value of this property to sequence as shown in attached screenshot then it will pick the Interchange Control Number defined in the UNB envelope and will be incremented by 1 after every execution.
